The weekly core academic half day sessions ensure a complete coverage of the fundamental principles underlying neonatal perinatal practice. Content is presented based on our program’s curriculum map which is built based on the organ system, CanMEDS roles and clinical topics. Speakers are chosen carefully from faculty both within Neonatology and in the relevant subspecialties, and are asked to adhere to specific objectives keyed closely to the Royal College objectives. A full cycle is completed over the two-years of fellowship training. These academic half day sessions are held on every Thursday afternoons. The sessions are pager protected. Attendance and punctuality in all educational sessions count towards your professionalism. You are expected to maintain a minimum of 80% attendance in all educational activities.
